life stories
Life Stories is a quiet, unfolding process—-one that allows you to tell your story gradually, in your own words, over time. Through a series of guided conversations, your memories, experiences, and reflections are gently shaped into a written narrative, one you return to and refine along the way. You remain the author throughout, with space to include photographs and meaningful pieces that help tell the fuller story. What emerges is something personal and enduring—-a life, gathered and held in writing, to be shared with the people you love and returned to over time.
The Process

Where we begin
We start with an initial conversation where I walk you through the program and answer any questions. If you’d like to move forward, I’ll go over consent and get everything set up together.
Because every story is different, I bill on an hourly basis, allowing me to tailor the experience to your needs while giving each project the care and attention it deserves.
Creative Rate: $120/hour
Minimum Project Commitment: 10 hours -
shaping the draft
We meet with you over 3–5 private sessions, usually about an hour each and held weekly, where you simply share your life story in your own words while we record it.
After each session, we turn the recording into a written draft. We then read it back with you in your next session so you can make sure it feels right. You guide all edits—-you remain the author of your story.

If you’d like, you can also include photos, mementos, artwork, or poetry. Family members are welcome to contribute by sharing materials or sending images to us.

Once everything is complete, I’ll give your story a final review and polish before it’s printed, bound, and personally presented to you.
WHAT GUIDES ME
Sensitivity, care, and presence shape the way I work. I sit with what is difficult, what is tender, and what is still forming, and I listen closely before I write. I believe words deserve patience and attention, and that being truly present—-with you, and with what you're trying to say—-is what allows something honest and lasting to take shape.
